About

Every other year, the Alberta Gymnastics Federation (AGF) holds a three-day congress for our membership. The event provides an opportunity for new and seasoned coaches, administrators, officials and athletes to celebrate recent achievements, engage in knowledge sharing and take part in shaping the future of Alberta gymnastics. Experts from the gymnastics community, in Canada and abroad, are brought in to present their experiences, philosophies and best practices. This year, Congress is being held in Calgary, AB at the BMO Centre, Palomino Room (20 Roundup Way SW, Calgary, AB, T2G 2W1) from October 11 to 13.

To help make attending congress more convenient and cost-effective for AGF members, the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and annual AGF Awards Gala are being held on the same weekend and at the same location. The AGM will take place on Saturday, Oct. 13 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. and will be followed by the AGF Awards Gala and Dance from 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.Hosted by AGF, the annual Awards Gala is an opportunity for Alberta's gymnastics community to recognize various members who have represented our federation with great pride. We celebrate those who have shown excellence at a provincial, national and international level. In addition, we acknowledge those who continually show their dedication and commitment to the sport of gymnastics in and out of the gym.

Finally, the weekend will wrap up with the Men's Technical Assembly, Gymnastics for All Assembly, and the Women's Program Assembly on Sunday, Oct. 14 from 9 a.m. to 11:50 a.m.
