Job Title: Elite/National Level Coach, Women’s Artistic Gymnastics
Reporting to: Program Director
Position: Full Time, 40 hours per week
Salary: Commensurate with experience, plus benefits
Date: November  1, 2019

 

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES

As the National Level Coach, Women’s Artistic Gymnastics, duties will include but are not limited to:

Coaching

  • National Level Groups – full range of coaching responsibility for Elite/National level competitive gymnasts (JO Level 8-10, Pre-Novice, Novice, Junior, Senior

 
Strategy

  • National Level Group – formulate competitive strategy including the planning and development of training sessions, schedules, programs and competition
     

Knowledge Sharing

  • Attend and contribute to coaching clinics for Women’s Program staff
  • Ensure consistency in coaching of technical program as mandated by the Technical Director, Women’s Artistic Gymnastics

  

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education

  • Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in related field
  • National Coaching Certificate Level 3 or equivalent
  • Respect in Sport Certified
     

Experience

  • 5 years experience in national/international level women’s artistic gymnastics coaching
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, procedures, technical knowledge and spotting in women’s High Performance competitive gymnastics
  • Proven ability to develop gymnasts 8 to 20 years of age to a national/international competitive level
