Women's Artistic Gymnastics Competitive Coach, Canmore Illusions Gymnastics Club
The Canmore Illusions Gymnastics Club is looking for a dedicated and hardworking Competitive Gymnastics coach for our WAG program. If you are a responsible, energetic and fun coach with lots of fresh ideas and a huge passion for artistic gymnastics, then we're interested in hearing from you.
As a Coach on our WAG team, you will be responsible for developing annual training plans for the competitive program gymnasts. You will need to identify each athlete's potential and develop individual training plans for them to reach their highest abilities with both short and long term goal setting. You will analyze your athlete's strengths and weaknesses so that you can compose routines using the current code of points and use appropriate program manuals that are challenging and fun for the athlete.
As a great coach, you know that the top performers are more than just physically fit, they are also mentally strong. Your training plans include strategies to prepare athletes for the pressures of competitive gymnastics and other psychological challenges.
In this position, you will assist in the development of the women's competitive program, from training schedules and class structure to competition registration and execution. You are an approachable and organized coach with a record of strong communication with parents, coaches and athletes. You create a positive and focused training environment that encourages athletes to reach their highest potential.
You have your NCCP Level 3, or are working towards your Level 3 in artistic gymnastics, and have a strong technical knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures within women's competitive gymnastics. You are an effective communicator with other coaches, parents and athletes. You have (or will acquire) Standard first-aid certification and can provide a clear criminal record with vulnerable sector check.
