Math in Motion – Facilitator Uschi Donaleshen

Math in Motion is a kinesthetic multi-sensory approach to teaching basic math concepts in your Active Start classes. Use the added substations to work on patterns, colors, shapes and
sequences.

Efficiency and Fundamentals – Facilitator Mikayla Salmond

How do you keep kids moving as much as possible, ensure they feel success and teach proper progressions all while having a good time? Mikayla will share with you how she plans her les-sons, how she organizes her day to maximize each minute the athlete spends in the gym, and easy progressions to keep kids feeling accomplished without skipping steps

NCCP Games: Knowledge is Power! – Facilitator Robyn Fox

Gymnasts learn faster when they pay attention to the right things and so do coaches.

Engage gymnasts of all ages to become more attentive, self-motivated and creative. Refresh your NCCP principles to increase your coaching ability and enjoyment, with playful activitiesdrawn from the presenter’s background - as a gymnast, coach, aerial acrobat and educator - this workshop will energize gymnastics coaches with new ideas about their craft.

Rebound Therapy – Facilitator Tanya Vanden Boer

Rebound Therapy is a trampoline course that teaches different progressions and supportive techniques for teaching individuals with special needs. These progressions can be applied to preschool and recreation classes.

Spacial Dynamics – Facilitator Leila Rogovina

Excellence can be coached. The mastery of movement skills involves tuning the muscles to the dynamics of movement. Through the use of visualization and "pre–moving”, skill and routines can be developed with ease and efficiency an resulting in enhanced performance. In this workshop you will learn coaching techniques with respect to spatial patterning and the concepts of uniting flow and function.  Come learn how to prevent injury, increase enjoyment and ability at all levels and abilities.
