The Alberta Gymnastics Federation is pleased to have been selected as the host partner for the 2020 Elite Canada in Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) competition. The event will run Wednesday, February 5th through Sunday, February 9th, 2020 at the Genesis Centre in Calgary, AB.

Top athletes from across Canada will be in attendance and the competition will be fierce. Seniors will be giving it their all as the event will play into the selection process that determines which women's artistic athletes will fill the 4 person team secured by Team Canada for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan. A few of the big names to watch for include, Brooklyn Moors of Cambridge, ON, Shallon Olsen of Surrey, BC, Ana Padurariu of Whitby, ON, and Victoria Woo of Brossard, QC. A total of 15 athletes will represent Alberta.
All categories – novice, junior and senior – will seek qualification for High-Performance status, which gives them the right to compete in those categories at the Canadian Championships and to be eligible to be considered for national teams and potential international competitions. A total of 45 medals will be awarded, and an Elite Canada titleholder will be named in each category.
