5 Alberta Athletes Make Team Canada for the 2018 World Championships in Trampoline Gymnastics

Gymnastics Canada has announced the athletes, coaches, judges, and staff who will represent Canada at the FIG World Championships in Trampoline Gymnastics in St. Petersburg, Russia from November 4th to 11th. Five athletes from Alberta will be competing and accompanying them will be Trish Quinney from Pheonix Gymnastics as support coach for double mini-trampoline. Here’s who to watch for and the events they will be competing in:

 

Individual Trampoline – Men

  • Keegan Soehn, Red Deer – Thunder Country Trampoline & Gymnastics

Synchronized Trampoline – Men

  • Keegan Soehn, Red Deer – Thunder Country Trampoline & Gymnastics (Paired with Jérémy Chartier of Virtuose Centre Acrobatique in Montreal, QC)

Tumbling – Men

  • Callum Sundquist, Sherwood Park – Ortona Gymnastics Club

Double Mini-Trampoline – Women

  • Kalena Soehn, Red Deer – Thunder Country Trampoline & Gymnastics
  • Alexandra Forest, Edmonton – Phoenix Gymnastics Club

Double Mini-Trampoline – Men

  • Callum Sundquist, Sherwood Park – Ortona Gymnastics Club
  • Ryan Sheehan, Grande Prairie – Phoenix Gymnastics Club
