AGF Staffing Update

The Alberta Gymnastics Federation (AGF) is pleased to welcome Cara Thibault and Jackie Padley to the team.
Cara Thibault will start on Thursday, March 21 as a Temporary Contract Operations Consultant for a period of three to six months. This is a temporary position that has been created to support the AGF staff and Board of Directors during Scott Hayes’ leave of absence as President & CEO and to assist Scott in his transition back to the office upon his return. In addition to supporting AGF in daily operations, Cara will be evaluating the recent trampoline insurance restrictions and resulting impacts on AGF member clubs while further exploring alternative options. As a former national level gymnast, gymnastics club manager, AGF staff member and professional with 20+ years experience working at various levels of Canadian sporting organizations, we are thrilled to have Cara’s expertise to lean on. Cara will be working out of the AGF office 15 to 20 hours per week and can be reached at or via AGF’s mainline at 403-259-5500 or 1-800-665-1010 (toll-free in Alberta).
Also, joining the AGF team is Jackie Padley who started on Tuesday, March 19 as AGF’s new Manager, Membership and Finance. Jackie is a Chartered Professional Accountant and Chartered Accountant by training. She has experience working at not-for-profit organizations as well as experience in fundraising, casinos and in the areas of amateur sport. To start she will be working on a six-month contract for 20 to 30 hours per week. We’d like to thank her predecessor, Joanna Low for offering to assist with training Jackie despite working full-time in her new and exciting role as Executive Director for Cheer Canada! While Jackie’s term is temporary, the intention is for her to eventually transition into the role as a full-time permanent employee of AGF. To reach Jackie, please email or call 403-259-5500.
Both Cara and Jackie will be working out of the AGF office in Calgary. We encourage all members to join us in welcoming them to the AGF community and to wish them success in their new roles.
