AGF Welcomes Nathan Kindrachuk into New Safe Sport Manager Position
The Alberta Gymnastics Federation (AGF) is pleased to announce the selection of Nathan Kindrachuk as AGF’s Safe Sport Manager. This is a new position within AGF to further assist with creating a system that ensures a cohesive safe sport environment for all participants in the sport of gymnastics across our province and in Canada. The position will support coaches and members with educational resources and guidance through the Safe Sport Framework which will be an integral part of our sport going forward.
Nathan comes to AGF with nine years of coaching experience in swimming including working with athletes who experience disabilities, university athletes, and club athletes. As a former athlete, head coach and administrator, he has become familiar with Alberta non-profit organizations and operations while bringing a well-rounded perspective on the sporting community. In addition to his wealth of experience, he recently completed graduate studies that explored coach development.
In his position, Nathan will oversee AGF’s Safe Sport Framework including policies, procedures, education, resources, and advocacy with respect to screening, conduct, reporting, privacy, risk management, inclusion, concussion awareness and protocols, anti-doping, and, health and safety. He will engage with all AGF stakeholders, including coaches, club administrators, Board members, provincial/territorial organizations, Gymnastics Canada and external partners to invite their input and inform future growth of the Safe Sport initiative.
