Katie Biberdorf and David Holmes Resign from the AGF Board of Directors
The Alberta Gymnastics Federation (AGF) regretfully announces the resignations of Katie Biberdorf and David Holmes from the roles of Director at Large and Acting Chairperson of the Women’s Program Committee (WPC) on the AGF Board of Directors effective immediately. The generosity with which they have contributed their time and energy to the betterment of gymnastics in Alberta has not gone unnoticed.
Katie has volunteered on the AGF Board for over eight years, including three years as Chairperson. "Katie's dedication, leadership and commitment to gymnastics in Alberta must be commended. Her level-headed and common-sense leadership has served AGF and the Board of Directors well. The past 12 months have been challenging, and Katie has gone above and beyond any possible expectations of a volunteer. The due diligence and dedication she demonstrated on top of countless volunteer hours is exemplary,” says Brady Spencer, AGF Board of Directors Chairperson.
David Holmes has also been a dedicated member of the gymnastics community serving as High Performance Representative on the WPC and more recently as WPC Acting Chair on the Board. "I would like to recognize Dave's commitment to the Women’s Artistic Gymnastics program. Dave always brought professionalism and vision to the WPC. His time, expertise and commitment are valued,” adds Spencer.
The position of Director at Large is available to anyone interested in serving on the AGF Board of Directors. To express interest please email email@example.com. The WPC has decided that the role of Acting Chair for the WPC will remain vacant until the Women’s Program Assembly meeting on May 11th, at which time a new WPC Chairperson will be elected; nominations will be circulated one week in advance of the meeting.
