We are hiring! Fort Gymnastics Club (FGC) is currently hiring a part time enthusiastic and dynamic Gymnastics Coach for our Competitive Program. FGC is a non-profit community-based gymnastics club offering WAG (Women’s Artistic Gymnastics), recreational, preschool and drop-in gymnastics to Fort Saskatchewan and surrounding communities. We are located 15 minutes North/East of Edmonton.
Our Mission: To provide quality gymnastics instruction for all ages and all abilities emphasizing fun, fitness, safety, and progressive development at all levels.
Qualifications: ●C1 Introduction (C1) Certified ●First Aid and Respect In Sport Leader ●Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check ●Gymnastics Foundations Certified (GF) and Active Start are an asset
Attributes: ●Energetic and passionate about the sport and coaching children/youth ●Strong interpersonal and communication skills ●Organized and reliable ●Ability to work in a team environment while also being self-motivated ●Mature and professional attitude
Key Responsibilities: ●Teach relevant skills and techniques to participants ●Plan and implement a progressive, annual training plan for WAG and Xcel athletes ●Provide ongoing demonstrations, feedback, encouragement ●Act as a role model for all athletes in the club ●Ensure the training areas are safe for athletes ●Support the information flow between the club and families
What to Expect: ●10-15 evening and weekend hours per week. ●Competitive wage as well as training and development opportunities ●Feedback & Support – ongoing opportunities for formal and informal feedback and support from the Coaching Director, Competitive Coordinator and the Board of Directors
Compensation: ●Wage will be determined based on training and experience
