Job Title: Recreation Program Coordinator

About Us: Grande Prairie Gymnastics Society (GPGS) is a non-profit organization committed to
delivering high-quality gymnastics, cheerleading, parkour, and preschool programs. We promote
fitness, skill development, and community spirit in a positive and energetic environment for
athletes of all ages.
Join Our Team! We are looking for an outgoing and organized individual for a large & fast paced
Recreation Gymnastics Program. The Recreation Program Coordinator will oversee all aspects of
GPGS’s recreation programs, ensuring their success from planning to execution. This role includes
managing staff, program development, event planning, and addressing member concerns. The
ideal candidate should be an organized, dependable leader with strong customer service and
management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and manage recreation-based gymnastics programs for all ages and abilities
• Supervise and mentor a large team of coaches and supervisors
• Organize school bookings, special events, and summer camps
• Handle program registrations and ensure health and safety compliance
• Collaborate with other departments for scheduling
• Manage program budgets, staff schedules, and training
• Address member feedback with professionalism
• Perform additional tasks as required
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma required
• C1 NCCP Artistic & Trampoline Gymnastics certifications
• 5+ years of coaching experience
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office, scheduling, and time management
• Supervisory experience
• Satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector search
Assets:
• Thorough knowledge of Grande Prairie Gymnastics Programs
• Previous experience with the Uplifter platform
• Previous experience with Ceridian
• Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders certification
• First Aid with CPR
• Previous Health & Safety experience
• Post Secondary Diploma or Degree.
Working Hours:
• Monday to Thursday 12:00p.m to 8: 00p.m
• Saturday 8:30a.m to 4: 30p.m
