The Alberta Gymnastics Federation (AGF) is the provincial body responsible for the development of gymnastics within Alberta. Based in Calgary, AGF has 73 affiliated clubs and a membership of over 49,000 individuals. Position Summary:

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and working with the Trampoline Gymnastics (TG) Technical Chairs, TG Technical Assembly (TTTA), TG Technical Committee (TTTC), and other staff, the TG Program Manager will oversee the administration and development of the Alberta TG program’s objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational, strategic, and budget planning for the TG Program in collaboration with the appropriate committee.
    Collaborate with TTTA & TTTC to address all program needs, including meeting agendas, minutes, pathway development, and discipline development aligned with the AGF Strategic Plan.
  • Assist with coordinating Team Alberta travel.
  • Support the development of technical handbooks, manuals, and sport packages for various games.
  • Assist with technical aspects related to special events organization.
  • Represent AGF at AGM weekend events, Congress events every two years, GymCan AGM/Semi-AGM, and operational meetings.
  • Attend AGF-sanctioned competitions, camps, and testing events.
  • Prepare and distribute TG technical handbooks.
  • Work with communications teams to enhance social media exposure for events and the program.
  • Travel is required within the province and potentially to events outside of Alberta.
  • Liaise with other gymnastics Provincial/Territorial Federations and GymCan.

 

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should have knowledge of Trampoline & Tumbling Gymnastics and possess excellent organizational and communication skills, both oral and written. Attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and the capacity to work independently or as part of a team are essential. Additionally, proficiency in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is required, and knowledge of social media platforms is an asset. Familiarity with QuickBooks, Uplifter, and Sportzsoft is a plus. Coaching experience in any amateur sport and/or experience in the not-for-profit sector would also be beneficial.

 

Position Details:

  • Hours: Part-time, 24 hours per week, with the potential for increased hours during busy periods (e.g., competitions).
  • Salary: $22.00 – $27.00 per hour, based on experience.
  • Start Date: Targeted for January 27, 2025, with flexibility.
