WAG Program Updates – Nov 2022

It’s all hands on deck these days! The WAG world has been very busy with much more to come.

 

Judging – New judges are always welcome!

  • Being a judge is a great way to stay involved in Gymnastics and all of our programs would love to have you
  • If you or someone you know may be interested in learning more, check out the AGF Judging Page

 

Gymnastics Canada manuals – watch out for the updated Women’s Program Manuals on the Gymnastics Canada website

  • These include: the High Performance Program, Canadian Competitive Program, and the new Aspire Stream
  • to be updated in the near future

 

Canada Winter Games – Prince Edward Island is hosting the Games on February 18-25, 2023 and we are preparing Team Alberta for the trip

  • This week, on November 10-11, the Calgary Gymnastics Centre is hosting a training camp for all potential athletes
  • On December 16,18 the Calgary Gymnastics Centre will hold the trials for our 6-person team

Training camp updates – Wow! We have had over 400 athletes and over 100 coaches attending our fall training camps for Xcel, Level 1-5 and Level 6/7

  • Our last fall camp is for Level 8-10 and will be next weekend (November 19-20) in Lloydminster. See you there!
  • Thank you to all of our host clubs, athletes, coaches, and presenters for making our camps a success

Women’s Program Assembly (WPA) – thank you for all of the coaches and judges who attended the WPA meeting in October

  • It was a very successful meeting where we discussed the upcoming competitive season
  • All changes and updates to our technical rules will be applied to the 2022/2023 Women’s Program Technical Handbook
