TAISO Gymnastics Training Centre is located in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia – a suburb of Halifax. TAISO has 1000+ gymnasts operating out of its 12,000 square foot facility. TAISO has consistently had gymnasts representing Nova Scotia at Nationals and Canada Games for 30+ years and currently has four High Performance WAG athletes including two National Team members.


Position Title: 

WAG Assistant Head Coach – Full-time, 35 hours/week


Job Description: 

Ability to coach all levels of competitive women’s gymnastics with a minimum NCCP Level 2 certification. Preference will be given to NCCP Level 3 or 4. Candidates must be able to coach all four events, be familiar with Canadian Junior Olympic Program, FIG Code of Points and have good communication skills with both children and parents. While the majority of the job is coaching there will be some administrative hours. The successful applicant will work with the Competitive Director with the goal of transitioning to this position in the future. Coaching duties will include provincial and national CJO athletes, assisting with High Performance. 

Successful applicant will be eligible for a Benefits Package after a qualification period.

Salto Gymnastics Club in Sherwood Park, Alberta, is located just 15 minutes east of Edmonton in the Alberta's heartland of a booming economy.  We are centrally located 11,000 square foot facility with state of the art equipment. We are family-oriented where the emphasis is on the child's needs.

Salto is seeking an energetic and active Competitive Coach for our WAG Program.  Reporting to our Competitive Head Coach, the Competitive Coach will work in conjunction with current staff to assist with all aspects of Salto’s competitive gymnastics program.

The position will require a maximum of 35 hours/week, mainly evenings and weekends; administrative and coaching (Competitive and Recreational) based on Salto requirements. This will be a salary position with a competitive wage based on experience and education.  This position also includes a comprehensive benefits package and a competitive salary.


Minimum of fully certified NCCP Level 2 with Level 1 Trampoline
Team player is necessary
Some experience managing staff and programming/scheduling
Experienced in program development and understanding Competitive Codes
Fluent in English, oral and written

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Program Execution:
Develop in conjunction with the Head Coach the competitive program objectives and yearly plans
Ensure staff have all necessary resources to effectively run their program
Ongoing supervision and evaluation of coach’s lesson plans and athlete progression
Conduct athlete assessment and placement in collaboration with each coach

Mentor and develop junior coaches
Conduct regular staff meetings with the Head Coach

Budget & Scheduling:
May need to assist with program budget development
In cooperation with the Recreation program, plans annual facility schedules to maximize participation, student enjoyment, development and achieve budget
Creating coaching assignments and rotation schedules
Working with Recreation program as necessary to execute special events
Prepare meet schedules and registration of athletes

Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Discuss suggestions and concerns with staff, participants, and parents
Write submissions for monthly internal newsletters, board reports or other reports as requested
Ability to work as a team member in a dynamic environment

Airborne Trampoline & Tumbling Club in Okotoks, AB is looking for a friendly, outgoing, organized person who enjoys working in a fast paced, kid focused gymnastics club.  

Reporting to the Program Director, this position will manage the daily business operations of the gym and be the first point of contact for all customers.  Act as an “Airborne Ambassador” communicating Airborne’s mission and specific program- related objectives. 


Customer Service: Daily administrative duties as required including but not limited to;

  • Answer phone calls and emails responding to and assisting customers with inquiries, technical issues with registrations or with any complaints.   
  • Assist with various events and marketing activities
  • Work with the PD/HC to track Rec and Competitive athletes registrations, contracts, payments etc..
  • Act as liason to AGF to track and pay membership fees, registrations, insurance, etc..
  • General cleaning of the gym as required, purchasing supplies and taking care of recycling.
  • Work with Volunteer and Fundraising coordinators to track parent’s commitments through the year.

Operations:   Receive and manage all funds in and out with duties including but not limited to:

  • Collect, reconcile and deposit all monthly training fees and all other competitive athlete charges and rec registration fees not paid online follow up on any delinquent accounts. 
  • Keep all spreadsheets up to date on payments received, amounts owing, fundraising and volunteering commitments, moneris receipts, etc..  
  • Pay and reconcile all bills, communicate and coordinate with the Treasurer.
  • Issue invoices and receipts, and process refunds as required.



  • Experience in gymnastics coaching or leadership as well as working for a not for pofit is an asset
  • Current CPR/First Aid, Police Record Checks required and willing to obtain Respect in Sport certification
  • Demonstrated management experience.   Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as a strong understanding of Microsoft Office. 
  • Customer service experience is mandatory
  • Some accounting or book keeping experience would be an asset


COMPENSATION:  Hourly rate, to be negotiated based on industry standards depending on qualifications.  This will be a one year renewable contract position.

HOURS: Expect that the position will require approximately 25 hours per week - mostly daytime hours although some evening and weekend work will be required.   Could be increased hours during busy times.
