This is a Part Time position working 16-22 hours per week. 


Job Description: 

Ability to coach levels 1-7 of the Women’s JO program with a minimum NCCP Level 2 certification. Candidates must be able to coach all four events, be familiar with Canadian Junior Olympic Program and have good communication skills with both children and parents. 5 years experience or more will be an asset.

Wage: will be depending on certification and experience

Benefits: After 3 month probationary period

NEGC is searching for positive, hardworking individuals to join our competitive coaching team.  Our program has been very successful over the last 2 years and is looking to continue to progress and flourish at both compulsory and optional levels:

These positions would entail working with Developmental and Junior Olympic Athletes currently up to JO8.  It will involve working primarily evenings and weekends with some opportunity for daytime coaching and administration duties as well.


  • Develop and implement training plans
  • Motivate and prepare athletes for competition – including routine composition
  • Attend competitions, meetings,  and special events as needed
  • Administration & Record keeping – attendance, physical ability testing, progress reports, injury reports etc
  • Help plan and administer in house coaches training as needed
  • Meet with parents as needed

Job requirements:

  • Minimum NCCP level 2 or equivalent
  • NCCP trampoline level 2 an asset
  • Current First aid or willing to get
  • Respect in Sport
  • Current criminal record check
  • Experience coaching competitive gymnastics – minimum JO 7 level preferred

Precision Gymnastics in Wetaskiwin Alberta is looking for an Executive Director/Head Coach with a minimum of 5 years’ experience to lead the growth and development of our expanding facility and programs.  The successful candidate, while still directly involved in coaching, will have the opportunity to design and implement the gym’s programs and coaching structure. 

We are looking for a dynamic, hands-on coach who will mentor our existing coaches to improve their coaching abilities and help advance their certification, while working as a team to successfully design and run our gymnastics programs. Precision Gymnastics Association’s goal is to introduce as many individuals to gymnastics as possible through the continual growth of our recreational programs; we also focus on competitive gymnastics with the expectation of producing top National Level athletes.

About Precision Gymnastics
In November 2015, Precision Gymnastics moved into its new training facility, tripling the floor space from the previous gym.  The new gym has a 36 X 24 loose foam pit, complete with in-ground trampoline and uneven bars training area as well as a full complement of equipment, both recreational and competitive, for WAG and MAG programs. Athabasca FLIPS Gymnastics Club (FLIPS) is seeking an energetic team member for our gymnastics facility located in North Central Alberta.

FLIPS is a not-for profit gymnastics club that has operated in the Athabasca area for the past 40 years and is proud to be the largest youth sports club in the area, drawing gymnasts from as far away as 1.5 hours to the facility.  FLIPS operates within a tri-fold mandate of competitive gymnastics, recreational gymnastics and community partnerships and programs with approximately 15 competitive WAG gymnasts from JO 2-7, 5 competitive MAG gymnasts from levels 1-2, 150 recreational gymnasts from Tots to Silver, and a large variety community programs and partnerships that span through 12 months of the year.   

The Recreational Coach is responsible for providing proactive, positive and effective coaching instruction within our recreational and community partnerships programs.  NCCP Level 1 coaching certification required plus at least 1-2 years coaching experience within gymnastics or a related sport.  FLIPS is willing to train potential candidates that show potential.  

This position may be tailored to meet both the specific needs of the club and the professional capabilities of the successful applicant.  Both the Head Coach and Recreational Program Coordinator must be effective at juggling multiple responsibilities and have strong experience in administrative functions (Microsoft Office and online registration systems) as well as be an effective coach, communicator and club advocate.  Each incumbent is required to reside within the Athabasca area and able to work a varied work schedule throughout the week, including day, evening and weekend classes and events, as well as the ability to travel when needed.
