Coaching & Judging

Alberta Gymnastics Federation adheres to the Gymnastics Canada’s Coach Education Program that is approved by the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) as set out by the Coaching Association of Canada (CAC).

The NCCP is currently transitioning from Level 1, 2, and 3 programming to the competency-based coach education opportunities that are grouped into three main streams: Competition Stream, Instruction Stream, and Community Sport Stream. Gymnastics Canada will not have any Instruction Stream programs.

The Purposes of The NCCP Are:

• To promote and develop excellence in coaching in Canada.
• To provide coaches at all levels with a systematic way to improve their knowledge and skill in the theoretical, technical and practical aspects of coaching.
