We are a small club in a small town that is growing at a rapid rate.  If you are looking for a fun, flexible job and you love working with kids of all ages we want to hear from you.  We are seeking enthusiastic, energetic, dependable team player who has experience in effectively communicating with children of all ages.  We are currently hiring for an aspiring coach in Parkour to work with Breathe Parkour to set up a program at our gym.  Criminal record check and vulnerable sector clearance required.  Active Start Certification, First Aid and previous Parkour training considered an asset.

The chosen coach will be responsible for coaching the newly developed Parkour class.  The coach will be responsible for teaching kids the fundamentals of parkour, in a safe and supervised fashion; ensuring adherence to Carstairs Gymnastics Policies and Procedures; encouraging children and helping them reach their full potential; and most importantly, creating an atmosphere filled with laughter and excitement.  The aspiring individual will also possess the enthusiasm to obtain their Level 1 Gymnastics Certification.

Part Time: Due to current schedule, class can be held either Friday evening or Saturday morning

Compensation: Will depend upon experience and qualification and a premium will be given for working the Friday or Saturday

The Recreational Director will focus on the Recreational Program ensuring the day to day operations inside and outside the gym, are well run and maintained and all of the recreational coach's needs are met. They will create a positive working environment and be that support for the coaches while on and off the floor.  The Recreational Director must have extensive knowledge of the Recreational Program as outlined by Alberta Gymnastics.  It is the goal of the Recreational Director to increase and enhance the participation of general recreational gymnastics at Aerials Gymnastics by inspiring coaches and athletes to achieve their personal best, provide platform for recreational gymnastics to be demonstrated, to provide opportunity for individuals to participate in gymnastics in a non-competitive arena and to develop guidelines to provide a fair and safe environment for athletes and coaches.

For high school or university student who will be full-time in school in fall 2017

Summer 2017. Temporary full-time.

We’re looking for coaches and strategic planners who are excited to join us in the learning and multi-tasking it takes to run our gymnastics club.

Your coaching experience can be in any of our club’s programs: Rec, T&T or Artistic. If you’re on the strategic side, you’re interested in the opportunities within our non-profit structure. Whatever your background, you believe that gymnastics is important and that inspiring gymnasts through awesome coaching makes a positive difference in the world.

Training to advance your skills is part of the package.

Your day will be divided between:

  • Coaching, research or planning.
  • Working with a senior staff mentor.
  • Creating amazing set-ups or digital/written content to tantalize participants.

Coaching will include opportunities in Early Learners, Freestyle, Aerial Arts and Cangym/Canjump levels 1-6. Other coaching may be part of the mix, for example: pre-comp, early comp or advanced rec.

Two positions are available:

Early Summer Staff

  • 30 hours per week. June 19 to August 19
  • Desired level of education: university or entering university in the Fall.

Late Summer Staff

  • 30 hours per week. July 1 to September 2
  • Desired level of education: high school or university/entering university in the Fall.

Hourly wages depend on your qualifications and experience.
