The Airdrie Edge Club manager is an experienced leader who oversees the operations, programming and financial management of our not-for-profit gymnastics club. Reporting to the Airdrie Edge Board of Directors, the Club Manager is responsible for day-to-day activities of the club, staff leadership, facility management, and stakeholder relations, ensuring the club’s sustainability and growth. This full-time role requires strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with experience in sports management or non-profit leadership considered an asset.

At Airdrie Edge Gymnastics, we bring families, our club and the community together to support athletes in their endeavor to excel in sport, and in life. Established in 1987, Airdrie Edge Gymnastics is a not-for-profit organization and a member of the Alberta Gymnastics Federation. The organization offers recreational gymnastics programs as well as three competitive programs: Trampoline & Tumbling (T&T), Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) and Competitive Parkour & Freerunning (PKFR).

Airdrie Edge Gymnastics is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and highly organized individual to join our team as a full-time Club Manager.

Key responsibilities:

Financial Oversight:

Develop and manage the annual budget
Monitor spending, ensure budget adherence and forecast variances
Oversee banking, maintain appropriate reserve funds, and ensure financial stability
Support fundraising initiatives
People Management and Human Resources:

Oversee scheduling and ensure appropriate staffing levels
Lead the recruitment, hiring and training of new employees
Ensuring all staff hold necessary certifications
Foster a positive team environment, supporting career growth through training and development
Work with the Board of Directors to regularly review and update policies and procedures
Ensure compliance with employment standards, health and safety regulation and the organization’s policies and procedures
Supervise and manage staff performance ensuring accountability and effectiveness
Assist with payroll and other administrative tasks in collaboration with the bookkeeper.
Programming:

Coordination of all programming, in conjunction with Head Coaches, including both recreational and competitive programs.
Ensure program schedules are comprehensive and well-structured
Manage registration processes and participant enrollment
Coordinate gym rentals and group programming.
Lead business planning and strategic development
Organize and support events and competitions in collaboration with Head Coaches
Communication & Stakeholder Relations:

Serve as primary liaison with gymnastics federations, government bodies, non-profit organizations, and user groups
Maintain strong relationship with the City of Airdrie
Oversee media relations in collaboration with the Board of Directors
Responding to parent and athlete inquiries, ensuring clear and timely communication
Develop and maintain relationships with parents, athletes and participants to foster a supportive and engaged community.
Manage and execute marketing and communication strategies
Operations & Facility Management:

Overseeing facility maintenance, cleaning, equipment management and utilities
Negotiating contracts and service agreements
Manage administrative functions to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
Qualifications and Skills:

Minimum 5 years of leadership and management experience, preferably in a not-for-profit or sports organization
Sound knowledge of human resource management
Demonstrated interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Understanding of the sport of gymnastics considered an asset
Proven problem solving and decision-making abilities
A current criminal record check will be required
The Club Manager will work 40 hours per week with a flexible schedule based on needs of the club. Availability during some evenings and weekends will be necessary.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
