Twist & Flip Gymnastics is looking for the perfect Recreational Director to join our team and lead our recreational program.
Over 600 families annually are registered in our pre-school, recreational, and competitive programs. As well, an additional 2000 participants attend other programs such as birthday parties, field trips, and indoor playtime/drop-in.
Job description: The Recreational Director will be responsible for registering, organizing, implementing, and supervising all recreational activities. This includes pre-school, recreational (6 yrs old & up), birthday parties, field trips & summer camps.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan, organize, and execute recreational programs and events. • Supervise and train staff • Ensure safety and compliance with facility/insurance regulations • Develop schedules, budgets, and promotional materials for programs • Maintain and set up recreational spaces and equipment • Engage with the community to assess interests and improve participation
Qualifications Education: Degree in Recreational Programming, up-to-date First Aid training.
Experience: Typically 2-3 years of related experience; leadership experience is highly valued. Must have a current police record check, plus current child intervention check.
Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills; proficiency in general computer applications such as all Microsoft programs & basic understanding of Uplifter registration system. Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
Personal Attributes: Compassion, enthusiasm for community engagement, and a passion with working with children in health, wellness, and recreation.
