Job description At Airdrie Edge Gymnastics, we bring families, our club and the community together to support athletes in their endeavor to excel in sport, and in life. Established in 1987, Airdrie Edge Gymnastics is a not-for-profit organization and a member of the Alberta Gymnastics Federation. The organization offers recreational gymnastics programs as well as three competitive programs: Trampoline & Tumbling (T&T), Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) and Competitive Parkour & Freerunning (PKFR).
Airdrie Edge Gymnastics is seeking a dynamic, qualified, experienced, and highly organized individual to join our team as a full-time Trampoline and Tumbling (T&T) Head Coach.
Position summary:
The Trampoline & Tumbling Head Coach is a key member of the leadership team, collaborating closely with members, athletes, and coaches of the Airdrie Edge Gymnastics Club. This role is responsible for developing a Trampoline & Tumbling program covering entry pre-competitive levels to international levels of athletes, overseeing all aspects of the program, including ongoing budgeting, planning, implementation, recruitment, monitoring, and evaluation of both the program and its staff. Key duties include the development of the entire program, recruitment, supervision, training, and conducting performance reviews for the team, liaising with Alberta Gymnastics Federation as well as Gym Can, hosting potential events, coaching all levels up to the highest level of athletes (pre-competitive to international), as well as program development and management. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, organized, and dependable, with exceptional coaching, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Key responsibilities:
Develop & implement the Trampoline & Tumbling (T&T) Gymnastics competitive program for children, youths, and adults. In conjunction with the Club Manager, prepare annual budget for the T&T program and ongoing adherence to such Determine the appropriate amount of athletes to be enrolled considering budget, coaching staff ratios, number and levels of athletes, and days of training required. Recruit and evaluate athletes for competitive program Hire, supervise, and mentor coaches for performance and growth. Ensure certification requirements are met. Create an appropriate training schedule. Coordinate athlete evaluation meetings with parents and athletes Address member concerns or feedback with professionalism and empathy Ensure that all Health & Safety protocols are followed. Maintain positive relations with the Alberta Gymnastics Federation and Gymnastics Canada Perform general administrative duties related to the trampoline & tumbling program Organize the hosting of various events – cups, FAST, training camps, etc. Collaborate with other programs to ensure appropriate scheduling for all programs Design, size, and order attire for training and competition Attend and/or host meetings and trainings as necessary Attend and/or host meetings and trainings as necessary Input and monitor staff schedules and timesheets Run staff meetings and continuing education for staff in Trampoline and Tumbling program as necessary Plan and lead developmentally appropriate lessons, adjusting activities as necessary to provide optimal challenges for each participant, including developing long-term development plans for athletes once they reach the competitive level Assist with the overall development of the Trampoline and Tumbling program with long-term athlete development plans to ensure long-term dedication, enjoyment, and success Constantly keep updated on latest rules and requirements of Alberta, Canada and International Rules, understanding of judging rules an asset Qualifications:
Level 4 NCCP Trampoline Gymnastics Comp 3 NCCP Trampoline Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders Supervisory experience. Strong leadership skills 5+ years of coaching experience at competitive level Previous experience developing a Trampoline & Tumbling program and high-level athletes Sound knowledge of human resource management Demonstrated interpersonal and conflict resolution skills Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proven problem solving and decision-making abilities Current First Aid and CPR A current criminal record check will be required Strong commitment to safety and ethics, ensuring safe work practices are implemented and maintained The Head Coach will work 40 hours per week with a flexible schedule based on needs of the club. Availability during evenings and weekends will be required.

Pay: $55,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
