If you will be submitting a video of yourself as part of your coach evaluation, please ensure that any participants who appear in your video have signed the following form:

This form does not need to be submitted to AGF. Please keep on file at your facility.
THEORY + INTRO + SPORT SPECIFIC + EVALUATION = CERTIFIED
Following the GF training courses, a coaching portfolio AND lesson observation is required to complete the GF Evaluation for certification. “CERTIFIED” coaches may independently coach their own group of athletes (CANGYM badges Burgundy – Purple) AND may supervise/mentor other coaches at/or below their present certification level. Certified coaches that have mentorship or supervisory responsibilities should be a minimum of 18 years of age. Coaches must be 16 years of age or older to apply for GF certification.
Step 1: You have attended the GF Theory, Introduction and Sport Specific course(s). You are also 16 years of age or older.
Step 2: You have reviewed and completed the Gymnastics Foundations Evaluation Package
Step 3: Visit https://evaluation.abgym.ab.ca to upload evaluation requirements. Payment of $50 will be required at the time of application.
Step 4: Wait to hear from your Coach Evaluator for pre-brief.
Step 5: Upload a lesson observation or request onsite observation. You will be emailed a link once your portfolio has been approved.
Step 6: Coach Evaluator de-briefs with coach.
Step 7: Upon successful completion, results of evaluation and certificate are sent to coach.
Please note that you will have up to 90 days to complete your evaluation. If you do not finish within 90 days from submission, you will be required to re-submit your evaluation package and fee again.
C1 TRAINING COURSES (Theory & Sport Specific) + EVALUATION = CERTIFIED
Following the C1 training courses, a coaching portfolio AND lesson observation is required to complete the C1 Evaluation for certification. “CERTIFIED” coaches may independently coach their own group of athletes AND may supervise/mentor other coaches at/or below their present certification level. Certified coaches that have mentorship or supervisory responsibilities should be a minimum of 18 years of age.

Step 3: Visit https://evaluation.abgym.ab.ca to upload evaluation requirements. Payment of $110 will be required at the time of application.
Step 5: Coach will upload a lesson observation or request onsite observation. You will be emailed a link once your portfolio has been approved.
C2 TRAINING COURSES (Theory & Sport Specific) + EVALUATION = CERTIFIED
Following the C2 training courses, a coaching portfolio AND lesson observation is required to complete the C2 Evaluation for certification. “CERTIFIED” coaches may independently coach their own group of athletes up to and including JO 9 and Aspire athletes for C2 WAG and up to Open athletes for C2 MAG. C2 Certified Coaches may supervise/mentor other coaches at/or below their present certification level. Certified coaches that have mentorship or supervisory responsibilities should be a minimum of 18 years of age.
Step 1: You are C1 WAG or MAG CERTIFIED OR you are L2 WAG or MAG CERTIFIED.
Step 2: You have attended the C2 Theory and Sport Specific courses OR you are L2 WAG or MAG CERTIFIED.
Step 2: Review and complete: C2 Coach Evaluation Guidelines for Success | C2 MAG/WAG Coach Evaluation Templates (Fillable)
Step 5: Coach will work on STEP 2 of the C2 Evaluation package and then choose to, attend a C2 Evaluation workshop, upload a lesson observation or request onsite observation. You will be emailed a link once your portfolio has been approved.
