Canada Post Update

18 November 2024

Last Thursday, November 14th, at 10:01 pm MST, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) announced a national strike that would affect all mail delivery for the foreseeable future.

We recognize that the mail strike will affect any cheque payments sent over the past few days. Rest assured, there will be no late penalty for delayed cheques. We are also happy to accept e-transfers, direct deposits, and credit card payments (note: credit card transactions over $1,000 will include a 2.5% convenience processing fee).

Furthermore, AGF’s membership registration deadline for Session 2 (Sept 1 – Oct 31) was end-of-day on November 15th.

Your club must still complete your online registration through Uplifter. If you have not completed your Session 2 upload, we have extended the deadline to the end of the day on Tuesday, November 19th.

Registrations completed after that time will be subject to late penalties.

Remember that all athletes and coaches training without valid AGF membership remain uninsured and are not permitted to enter training camps, trials, or competitions.
